Midway through digital doodling comes the realisation that Sufi Universal Worship is presenting itself, rendering a sense of great childish delight and reverent awe.

Yes, multi-faith unity in the wide green field beyond. The rose in the centre symbolically represents all those who, whether known or unknown, have held aloft the light of Truth through the darkness of human ignorance.

Dealing with one small part at a time paved the way in life, with eventual clarity of complexity.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

Buddhist philosophy and the symbolism embedded in this ancient art comes with strict lineage adherence to proportions, colours and symbols. Restrictive yet freeing.

Four months of artwork held in loving perseverance as prayer for a beloved soul's wellbeing, resulted in eventual breakthrough of circumstances.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

Traditional Buddhist art of thangka iconography involves a process of prayer and meditation as the artwork unfolds. Yields great inner peace and calm along with a subtle sense of knowing my inner Buddha a little better.
