Title: "Mary: Stillness receptive of Christ"
“Mary" is Stillness, represented by the tender horizontal lines of tilled soil - open, pure, receptive femininity - awaiting the seed of Christ consciousness, that is starlight... and regenerative.
The seed is dropped from above (Spirit/star) and the tilled receptive soil is open to the sky to receive it.
Vikki Blanche
From "Sacred Art" themed session of Traditions of the World series, 3 Oct 2020, having explored artworks of Saraswati, Tara and Mary, Vikki Blanche's artwork (above) took me into different directions and dimensions. Artwork, in general, tends to be a metaphor that induces one to explore oneself and can draw different interpretations from different viewers.
Her camera delightfully captured a dark and light graduation that signifies a growth from darkness into the light, for me. This image of a seedling conjures a growth theme that is threaded through the series of dance movement events.
When Vikki's artwork was turned in this horizontal orientation, what immediately struck me was "Timeline." Evolution. The roots are in the Origin of time, with Christ consciousness seeking to evolve while the seedling grows as the stardust it is and journeys forth into the light. The vertical lines are perceived as layers of veils masking the true Self, until the shoot emerges as a self manifestation of the hidden Origin.
In this upside down orientation, it reminds me of having once drawn an inverted Tree of Life.
The roots of my life are rooted in the heavens, pushing through streams of waters that divide the unmanifest and manifested.
The abundance of leaves, flowers and fruits bore by branches attest to the fruitfulness of the unseen latent potential, make visible first by imagination.
I never thought I would gain anything from this sideway orientation, but was I wrong. This is the Omega - my omega future self - reaching from the future, growing towards the present me, beckoning its shoots to the path I must take.
Its roots is in the Alpha, also the Origin.
My gratitude to Vikki. So rich. My soul is nourished. One never knows what an artwork can bring. Serendipitously, MR at the same session was receiving Mary's sad call to "grow the green shoots!" It would appear that collective insights were being perceived. It is interesting to meditate on the implications for the individual as well as the collective for a time like this.
A call to transformation in every direction.
